'MOI J'AI EU UN FLASH!' FRENCH ROCK AND POP TO GET THE LNB TREATMENT
Wham Bam! We have had a super start to the year with gigs all over the countryside, and now as winter approaches, we are working on some new and fun material to broaden our Frenchie style even further. We've been dying to resurrect some great French dancefloor classics with our own LNB flavour. One can't go past the non-sensical, uber-catchy 'Ca Plane Pour Moi' by Belgian Plastic Bertrand (1979). However, whilst researching some more about the song, we discovered there was actually a grand scandal to do with the performing artist! Turns out Plastic Bertrand is the French language version of Milli Vanilli..... check out this article by Doug Jones at dangerousminds.net to read about what went on, and listen out for a newly-tailored version of this song at our next gigs! xx

LA NUIT BLANCHE AT BRUNSWICK MUSIC FESTIVAL FEB & MAR
C'est magnifique! You can catch LNB in our full 6-piece glory at the famous Brunswick Music festival on Sunday March 19 in the 'Vale de Pascoe' - or - as we locals know it, Pascoe Vale. This is the fun and free closing event of this iconic music festival, and we'll be adding a French flavour alongside some other amazing acts.....to quote the festival:
"Bullhorn will bring their brash big band boogie. The Transatlantics will treat us with their sweet, sweet soul. La Nuit Blanche will add a fine French gypsy jazz flavour. TEK TEK Ensemble will open us up to the world of disco fusion. And the stunning Vietcharm will amaze with their traditional Vietnamese dance."
Grab a picnic, your dancing shoes, and come and meet us there! From 4pm xx

QUEL ÉTÈ-LÀ! WHAT A SUMMER!
Super! We here at La Nuit Blanche music headquarters have been busily working away on new tunes, new media, and having a ball entertaining the Frenchie-loving masses of Melbourne! Mais - il ne s'arrête - it isn't stopping for us! We have a full season of gigs lined up to carry us into the year on both sides of the rivière... So we've teamed up with the amazing graphic artist, Todd Beeby, over in Nouvelle Zealande - who is helping us get the word out about our concerts coming up. Check out his Villemot-inspired artwork made especially for us! If you need any artistic talents - definitely check out his website here xx
We'll see you at a gig soon! xx
